An introduction to managing research data for Arts Post-graduate Researchers
2014/10/08 @ 14:00 - 17:00
All researchers have a responsibility to properly manage the data they create during the course of their research. This may seem a daunting task as there are a number of factors to consider: the safe storage of data, documenting data appropriately, deciding which parts of your data are important, providing access to data where appropriate and ensuring data survives in the long term.
It will pay to think about these issues at the start of a research project, when you haven’t yet accumulated much material and when it’s easier to keep track of everything. This half day workshop will look at the issues above and offer advice on how to create a Data Management Plan for your research.
